The one-of-a-kind adventure, will see series curators, the mysterious minds behind Salon Zur Wilden Renate, team up withlocal co-presenters The House of Mince, Something Else and experimental party pleasers Charades for the biggest celebration to date. Each collective will host a melting pot of talent and leading the charge will be a secret Berlin international DJ. Completing the line-up is Michelle Owen, who calls Berlin her second home. Having lived there for six years and frequently playing at Watergate and Panorama Bar, Michelle has recently returned to her hometown Sydney and will be spinning alongside local DJ, Ben Drayton.
Michelle Owen, comments:
“It's been really great to see a piece of Berlin here in Sydney. Number56 had really gone all out to make you feel like your experiencing B town. They've even got the Berlin staple Club-Mate imported in. I'm looking forward to playing in my home away from home."
Roving rebels Betty Grumble, Matt Format and their rotating spectacle of friends will be taking guests on another wild journey, inspiring new encounters, strange collisions and euro a go-go splendour that will have the dance floor heaving for more. Previous parties featuring a live art installation from Mulga, a herd of stags gallivanting across the dancefloor and a sense lab designed to awaken the mind, body and soul, now sparks are set to fly as the July 9 edition promises surprise performances a-plenty.
Authentic German cocktails will be served on the night, such as the Jager-Mate made with Club-Mate and Jägermeister, along with delicious Berlin street food.
The party’s six house rules, a permanent fixture throughout Number56 will be in full force encouraging people to share the experience with their mates wholeheartedly.
1. No cameras. No phones.
