James Ruskin, Randomer, Exium, Lo Shea, Chris Duckenfield.
We are extremely excited to bring the man behind Blueprint and a UK don of Techno James Ruskin to Hope Works for our first Hope Works warehouse show of the Autumn Season.Grown up in London and in the music business for more than 15 years now, James Ruskin is considered as one of the main artists for British electronic dance music. With his releases on Blueprint, Dynamic Tension (with Surgeon) Tresor , and recently on Token he is one of the UK's real dons. He´s also, together with Regis a member of the incredible O/V/R project.
In a short time, North Londoner Randomer has built up a small but heavy hitting catalogue of work – releasing ‘Brunk’ (on Hessle Audio’s 116 & Rising compilation), the acid tinged ‘Obtuse’ and most recently his dance mania-on-steroids EP for Numbers, 'Real Talk'." His debut for Hemlock Recordings found him taking things even further back to basics, dropping two heavyweight trax of pure beats and bassline indulgence. Releases for LIES , Russian Torrent Versions and Clone basement Series have now firmly planted this talent in our minds and hearts.
Exium are a Spanish duo who have been creating and growing since the early 90's.
Their music is championed by everyone from Ben Klock, Surgeon and Oscar Mulero to Aphex Twin.As key players at the fantastic Pole Group label their sound has been impressing us more and more and we are delighted to be bringing you another Sheffield debut performance.
In Support Lo Shea and Chris Duckenfield will top and tail the event as they do and we also have a special Rave Cave takeover by the guys at "A New Shop" on Division Street in Sheffield to celebrate their move into stocking vinyl and becoming another outlet for the black wax here in Shefftown!
Here we go again!!!!!!
