Sat July 02 - Allllllllllllllllllllll Aboooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard The South London Soul Train. Summer is well and truly here + we got all floors locked, loaded and ready to deliver a combined 28hrs of worth of the absolute finest in funked up soul, groove disco, afro, latin + more. Your host Jazzheadchronic joined by new powerhouse afro-funkateers ANIMANZ [Live] + so much more across 4 floors at The CLF / Bussey.

The South London Soul Train continuing it's on-going twice a month mission to seriously funk up your mind and body + force feed yoh soul with the absolute best of times.

Level 1, your host with the frikkin most Jazzheadchronic delivering another heavyweight 4 hour set of the finest in funk, soul, groove, disco, batu and soul hop n' bop tasty-ness [post band], with Incognito DJ AJ Kwame warming up the place with a blow torch from 10pm. The duo of dynamic DJs joined by amazing band - Animanz, Live and very direct!

ANIMANZ are a brand new exciting hi-energy 5-12 piece Afro-Latin-Funk band hailing from London and across the globe [London to Cuba via Sierra Leone]. A band that we're truly psyched to welcome to the SLST stage. Here’s your chance to check out new material from their debut EP, featuring very special guest vocalist Juanita Euka of London Latin group WARA - witnessing the birth of a wicked new sound that is afro funk-punk! Simply put, this band are hot and here to blow the walls down. Bricks to Mortar o' the building, Bone to Cartilage of yoh being and deep to the very core of your soul . Believe us you gonna feel it!!! LONG TIME!

Then on level 2 - Time to let the funk mercilessly flow. Commander Snowboy and Jazzcotech Warrior Perry Louis here to deliver the news on vinyl. The scoop - funk is alive and livin on 45. Eruption time, as the rare grooves keep flowing and the funk & soul is thankfully once again truly delivered on the dancefloor. Amen!

Room 3 - S’all all about the Northern Soul of it all. The Legendary Rob Messer and Craig Jamieson + Claire Kalvis dropping the platters that absolutely always will matter. The choicest cuts from the Motown, Stax, Volt, Chess & the rest vaults served up on a dynamite rig for maximum dance floor action. As we like to say - Prepare yourselves!!!

The South London Soul Train line up completed in the CLF, Rye Wax basement by SLST too damn hot residents DJ Gilla [Founder First Word Records] and DJs from the highly influential Wah Wah 45 Label. All DJ’s as always delivering more piping hot joints from an eclectic menu of wholesome world wide wonder funk. Then to now. Strictly on the good foot! Boom Bloody Pow!

So you know, The SLST has a whole nother floor on Level 3, dedicated to the art of the chill - A place to catch you’re breath between marathon stints on the dance floors. And with 4 dancefloors pumping all night long - believe us, you gonna need it and gonna feel it!

As always, All floors taking all passengers on a Non-Stop Magical Mystery Tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Motown to Club Classics and Anthems.

However, Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this ones for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Souuuuuuuul.
