Warp duo patten headline a night of leftfield electronics at London's iconic ICA.
Visionary London-based duo, patten recently released Ψ, their third album and second for seminal independent Warp Records. Relating as much to pop music, club sounds and Industrial textures, Ψ is the group’s most accessible and accomplished record to date, and sees them start to take their super ambitious sound into the wider foreground. The journey is already fully in motion with the Franco-British duo previewing their striking new live audiovisual show across select European clubs and festivals to wide-eyed audiences.
For this truly unique event, patten have programmed a mind altering night at London’s ICA, surrounding their AV show with cutting edge films, live electronic music, DJs and art installations. With a screening including Turner Prize winner Mark Leckey’s ‘Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore’, and films by Muntean/Rosenblum and Oliver Laric, a DJ set from Local Action boss Tom Lea, live sets from jungle and eski outsider Filter Dread, and prismatic Acid experimentalist rkss, as well as a 555-5555 collective pop up store/installation, this event brings it all.
ICA will see patten perform their largest London headline to date, bringing their hi-tech, future-facing new AV production to home turf for the first time.
