Baltimore native Maurice Fulton is a low-key legend. Far Away teaming him up with Mood Hut main man Jack J is about as close to a sure shot as you can get.Line-up /
Welcome to the February installment of Far Away, we’re looking forward to gathering once again with two absolute favorites:
Maurice Fulton is one of house music’s true originals, where do we even begin? Syclops, Boof, and countless other aliases and collaborations, Maurice has been a universally respected innovator since the early 90s. Not only did he have a hand in producing “Gypsy Woman” by Crystal Waters, one of the most successful house tunes of the early ‘90s; he is the darling of both the underground house and leftfield scenes with an enviable back catalogue. With his undeniable distinct sound and extensive knowledge of all things disco, house, techno, and beyond, we are ecstatic to welcome him to Far Away for the first time.
Jack J needs no introduction, a Far Away regular and one half of Pender Street Steppers, the Mood Hut affiliate returns to warm it up for Maurice. When Jack’s not making records with his Vancouver collective he’s typically traveling the world with a busy touring schedule – let’s welcome him back to LA in style.
