Brick City Studios x House of Ayebatonye presents...
The Inaugural Iconic Vogue Ball
In the land of lockout laws and pressures to conform to gender norms and society’s expectation of who we should be, The House of Ayebatonye & Brick City Studios invites you to a night where you are encouraged to exist freely, express yourself and VOGUE!
Take notes from the divas of yesteryear and show us some of that realness we know you possess! Then when the show down is said and done, everyone has death-dropped into oblivion and the judges have chosen the winners, the after party will begin with 90s house, disco and techno.
This night is a celebration of creative self-expression, self -empowerment, and art in all its forms because at the Iconic Vogue Ball the rule of thumb is O.P.U.L.E.N.C.E you own everything, everything is yours! Including free gin cocktails & beer thanks to Poor Toms Gin & Young Henrys!!
Proceeds will be going to the Gender Centre, an NGO and charity organisatio who have been operating direct front line services to the Transgender, gender questioning and gender diverse community for almost 34 years. They provide services including crisis and transitional housing, group work counselling, outreach to transgender street based sex workers, jail outreach, family support, youth support, over 55 support. Check out their website for more details!
BCS is a safe space in which people, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender or race can enjoy themselves freely, and that is of the utmost importance to us. At all our events there will be dedicated and trusted staff that can be approached should anyone feel unsafe or harassed in any way.
