Let’s go, round 2!
After the sell-out success of our first visit to Birthdays with the East London Spring Carnival, Bass Matters is very proud to present our second Dalston outing.
Last time around we wanted to showcase our love for the carnival sound, and we were overwhelmed by the response. So now we want to share our affection for everything that makes this city so special, with an energy filled presentation of every sound and scene London’s underground clubscape has to offer. Expect, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Garage, Grime, and Trap, with an extra sprinkling of world music styles.
If you made it down last time you know good vibes are guaranteed. And if you didn’t… you won’t want to miss this one.
Radar Radio residents and stalwarts of the Dalston party scene, The Sultan and Terry Juarez will be repping Top Rankin', treating us to a very special back to back to set the tone for the night.
The Sultan blew us away at the Spring Carnival, so we had to have him back for another round of frenzied Dancehall and Funky. Having supported acts like Crazy Cousinz, he’s also featured in the finals of the British Student DJ Champs, and the final of the Outlook Festival mix competition. He brings that creativity to every set, every one a unique, unmissable experience.
Not to be outdone, Terry Juarez has been all over the world blowing up dance floors. Something that can be clearly heard is his expert blend of world styles, found monthly on his Radar Radio residency, with reggaeton, afropop, and dancehall all front and centre, an absolutely explosive set is guaranteed.
Bass Matters resident's BMO, Chief Selekta, and Jonny CV will be rounding out the night, bringing the blend of UK and world bass that have become the hallmark of the BM sound.
