Erol Alkan goes back-to-back with one half of Justice as part of his 13-week XOYO residency. Close your eyes and it's almost like Trash never finished.
Erol Alkan b2b Xavier de Rosnay (Justice)
Room 2: John Loveless & Gabriel Szatan
It is with enormous pleasure that we reveal Erol Alkan as the club’s next thirteen week resident, presenting ‘To The Rhythm’ every Friday for three months straight, starting in July.
As one of London music’s most prized assets, Alkan has uncompromisingly paved his way within the industry through, it seems, endless means and guises: Boss of the eulogized label Phantasy, coveted remixer, producer of countless critically acclaimed albums, one half of ‘Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve’, a decade long resident DJ at seminal London club night Trash, resident at Bugged Out! and now, the fifteenth XOYO resident.
Coming into the final weeks of Erol Alkan’s residency, XOYO welcomes back Xavier De Rosnay, one half of the French electro-rock duo Justice. Crossing the boundaries between rock and electronic music, Justice are well known for their pioneering approach to head banging french house music. The pair have collaborated together many times over the years, with Alkan having produced and reworked Justice’s music, we are excited to see their eclectic music tastes collide.
London’s own Bugged Out! resident Lemmy Ashton will also be joining Erol Alkan in room 1, the former Phantasy Sound record assistant turned Bugged Out resident DJ has already played at a whole host of impressive venues around the country. Now turning his hand to production, his latest releases draw upon disco and house influences, making funky and upbeat music ready to get the crowd moving.
Room 2 sees London’s Radar Radio residents John Loveless and Gabriel.
