  • Kevin Gorman, a man once called "the digital master from Manchester" by DJ Hell, will be hitting the States this weekend. Aside from receiving praise from Hell, whose Gigolo imprint Gorman has released tracks on, the producer's sounds have been memorably described as "Robert Hood after eating too much sushi." Gorman will undoubtedly be bringing that raw quality to New York and Minneapolis, the two scheduled dates for his quickie Elements tour. Gorman will be promoting his upcoming quartet of EPs of the same name, which promises DJs a variety of versions of each released track. Bonus beats, DJ tools, edits and effects: they'll all be available later this year in what Gorman is calling "part musical experiment, part creative resource"—something you'll no doubt hear played out in his Ableton live set.
