  • Nitzer Ebb will jet over to the UK for an exclusive London date this Friday. The EBM outfit became popular in the mid '80s with anthems like "Warsaw Ghetto," "Let Your Body Learn" and of course "Join in the Chant," but their appeal was much broader than you would expect. Goth and new wave fans embraced their political posturing, but their raw electronic rhythms saw them become popular in both the UK acid house scene and also over in Detroit, where radio and club play would act as a big influence on the techno sound to emerge from the city. The group have toured irregularly since reforming in 2005, but this Friday's show at Electrowerkz in Islington is a one-off performance for Richard Clouston's Cosey Club night. Clouston and Sabres Of Paradise producer Jagz Kooner (who is helping the band mix their latest project) will act as DJ support, whilst goth rocker S.C.U.M will also play live.
