  • Pinch's Bristol-based Subloaded night is set to take over Corsica Studios on Friday August 7th. It seems Rob Ellis (AKA Pinch) is enjoying these types of raids on the capital. The DJ/producer initially hooked up the We Fear Silence team for the album launch of his label's Tectonic Plates Vol. 2 back in May, and is set to rekindle their relationship by bringing a hefty looking line-up to Corsica Studios on August 7th. The main talking point surrounding this event is of an exclusive back-to-back-to-back session from Joker, Gemmy and Guido, which will be the first time the self-anointed "Purple Trinity" will share a bill together. The trio are lined-up for a two hour set that will no doubt feature plenty of their colourful synth-heavy dubstep. The event is being billed as a "Bristol Takeover" and they aren't kidding: Pinch is of course spinning himself, and will be joined by Apple Pips head honcho Appleblim, Headhunter, and Punch Drunk's Peverelist. Room 2 on the other hand, sees the line-up scaled back to a single DJ: Gilles Peterson has been put in place for a four hour set, which should provide some light relief should the main room chaos get the better of you. Tickets are now available to purchase directly from RA Tickets.
