  • French house stalwarts Cassius have announced details of their eponymous new Cassius Records imprint. It's been over a decade since the cut-up, fun-filled debut that was Cassius' 1999. In the ensuing ten years, Hubert "Boom Bass" Blanc-Francard and Philippe "Zdar" Cerboneschi haven't exactly engulfed fans with streams of new material, but did find time to release a second album Au Rêve, followed by 15 Again, the 2006 concept album inspired by music of the duo's youth. Regarding Cassius Records, the pair have promised, "young, fresh and new music, sometimes remixed by people we love, some other times we'll move backward..." The imprint's first single will be Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes from the boys themselves, which will be followed by a solo effort from Zdar entitled Dream America, featuring remixes from BoomBass, Tom Trago and Crookers.
