Numark have announced details of their forthcoming NSFX effects controller, a dedicated unit for use with their NS7 Serato Itch controller.
As the digital DJ market moves further and further in the direction of dedicated control surfaces, Numark have revealed their intentions for a product geared exclusively towards the control of digital effects. The NSFX has been produced specifically for use with their NS7 DJ controller—the complete two deck plus mixer package designed in collaboration with Serato for use of their Itch software. Users are offered instant hands-on control over Itch's built-in effects as the unit connects over USB, and sits snugly within NS7's integrated laptop stand. Spread across the NSFX's face plate is a twin set of fairly standard control options, including a crossfader for FX mix, knob for FX parameters and tap button. There is no indication of the price range the NSFX falls into, but expect it to be in line with Numark's generally mid-range policy.
The NSFX ships as of Q4 2009.
