Innervisions publishes Lost and Sound

- The Berlin-label will release an English translation of Tobias Rapp's book about "Berlin, techno and the Easyjetset."
- Innervisions is set to publish an English language translation of German journalist Tobias Rapp's Lost and Sound: Berlin, Techno and the Easyjetset later this year. Lauded by a number of German DJs as one of the few long-form encapsulations of the unique qualities of the Berlin techno scene, Rapp's book has been a surprising crossover hit with the German public. Lost and Found tackles many different topics along the way, but its main point is to trace the hows and the whys behind the city's rise to its status as the unofficial capital of techno. Being keen students of club culture, the crew at Innervisions has commissioned a translation of the text, and is gearing up to put the book out in December, but RA is excited to announce that we will have an exclusive excerpt of the text in advance of Rapp's appearance at Innervisions' Amsterdam show next week. Rapp's chapter on the infamous Berlin club Berghain will be the subject, but the conversation will no doubt be more wide-ranging at the ADE event where he'll be presenting the book at 9:00 PM at Trouw on Thursday, which will be followed by a gig later that night with Henrik Schwarz and Âme's Frank Wiedemann hooking up with Norwegian jazz hand Bugge Wesseltoft, and imprint bosses Âme and Dixon on the decks.
