Mike Shannon's imprint will celebrate the milestone at the Berlin club next Saturday.
Conceived in Montreal back at the beginning of the decade, Cynosure is the brainchild of Canadian DJ/producer Mike Shannon, who after relocating briefly to Valencia, now bases the imprint out of the German capital. The label has offered up a healthy total of 35 releases over the past ten years, spanning 12-inches from Shannon's compatriots Deadbeat and Adam Marshall, through to European mainstays such as Monolake and Sieg Über Die Sonne. Shannon himself will of course be the centre of attention come Saturday 28th November as the label takes over the twin floors of Berlin's Watergate venue. Joining him on the night is fellow Canadian and proponent of the furious four-deck mixing style, Jeff Milligan. Live electronic music meanwhile comes under representation from native pair Chic Miniature, and another duo in the form of Uruguayans Guillermo Miranda and Martin Teysera (AKA Monoblock). The supporting cast are no slouches either, with Brett Johnson and Adam Marshall being backed up by a further live show from Matt Thibideau.
