  • Starkey's sophomore full-length, entitled Ear Drums And Black Holes, will be released in April. The Philadelphia-based producer coined the term "street-bass" to describe his bass-heavy stylings that take from high-tempo US dance styles like ghetto house and Miami bass as much as grime and dubstep. While there's plenty of the energetic and forcefully melodic club bangers that he made his name with, previous purple-tinged single "OK Luv" opens up the record (without its original rap from London-based MC Badness), Anneka makes a delicate vocal turn on the wonky balladry of "Stars," and there are other appearances from Japanese vocalist Kiki Hitomi, UK grime artist P-Money, and Texan MC Cerebral Vortex spread throughout the record. As with 2008's Ephemeral Exhibits, Ear Drums And Black Holes will also see a release via Mike Paradinas' Planet Mu imprint, which looks like its set to maintain its prolific album output well into 2010. Tracklist 01. OK Luv 02. Murderous Words (feat. Cerebral Vortex) 03. 11th Hour 04. Numb (feat. P-Money) 05. Stars (feat. Anneka) 06. Multidial 07. Spacecraft 08. Neck Snap 09. Fourth Dimension 10. Club Games (feat. Cerebral Vortex & Buddy Leezle) 11. Alienstyles 12. Capsule 13. New Cities (feat. Kiki Hitomi) 14. Pleasure Points 15. Fidelio Planet Mu will releaase Ear Drums And Black Holes on April 19th, 2010.
