  • Romania's Rokolectiv festival will return this year with its most house-centric line-up so far. Rokolectiv takes place in Bucharest over the course of April 22-25th, and is generally focused on combining electronic music with visual arts, bringing a raft of top talent over to the Romanian capital for the occasion. Whereas last year's Rokolectiv had a mix of dubstep, techno, electronic disco and experimental music, this year's event seems slightly more streamlined into the house side of things, with Move Dset to play both a live and DJ set at the festival's Friday night party at The Ark. RA favourite and receiver of our top album of '09 accolade, Terre Thaemlitz AKA DJ Sprinkles will also spin his idiosyncratic deep house style on the night—as well as giving one of his audio/visual lectures at another event—with Amsterdam-based organic house duo Juju & Jordash rounding off the evening's dance floor action. If that isn't enough house for you, the Saturday will be sure to satisfy, with FXHE boss Omar-S set to bring his raw and gritty vibe over from Detroit. Syncom Data offer some of their unhinged dubby techno, while fellow Dutchman Legowelt opens up proceedings with his afrobeat-infused deep house project, Nacho Patrol. Stuttgart's Danilo Plessow will also be on hand to demonstrate why his Motor City Drum Ensemble material is proving so popular with house fans across the globe at the moment. Details of the daytime events have yet to be announced, but we can also confirm that both Dan Deacon and Turzi will both play at The Museum of Contemporary Art on the Sunday, complete with a performance from Nabaz'mob, which is being intriguingly billed as an "opera for 100 smart rabbits."
