Chems and Villalobos confirmed for Exit Festival 2010

- The first set of names has been announced for EXIT Festival 2010, the eleventh edition of the massive Serbian music event. Electronic veterans The Chemical Brothers will headline the main stage, delivering their visually explosive live performance in one of only three festival dates for the summer of 2010. They'll be joined by British synth-rockers Does It Offend You, Yeah?, as well as flamboyant pop misfit Mika. Norwegian electro-pop duo Royksopp will also take the stage, along with the skinny-jeaned Canadians known as Crystal Castles. The Dance Arena will kick off on Thursday with some of electro's biggest names: Crookers, Boys Noize and Erol Alkan. Fans of leaner house and techno shouldn't feel left out, as Friday night will bring the likes of Josh Wink, Moderat and minimal superstar Ricardo Villalobos. Ed Banger will be the sound du jour on Sunday, with DJ Mehdi, SebastiAn and Busy P all sharing the stage. For those not yet in the know, EXIT is one of Europe's most celebrated camping festivals, held each year in Novi Sad, Serbia. It began in 2000 as a student protest against Slobodan Milosevic's communist regime, and has since become one of Central Europe's biggest summer draws, both for its top-tier programming and its picturesque setting at Petrovaradin Fortress, an 18th century structure on the banks of the Danube River.
