- The London-based imprint will issue its first ever CD compilation later this month, collecting tracks from Hatchback, Detachments and more.
Simon A. Carr's Thisisnotanexit label will head into the compilation world this month with their Manifesto #1 collection.
The imprint has always focused on the weirder side of electronic disco and live leftfield artists, with acts like They Came From The Stars, I Saw Them, Professor Genius, Night Plane and Detachments all calling the label home. Manifesto #1 will be split into two discs: the first is an unmixed selection of ten unreleased tracks from the TINAE roster (which comprises the usual suspects as well as fresh faces like Moscow, Pink Stallone and Weird Tapes), while label boss Simon Carr has taken to his turntables to mix up a vague "best of" set on disc two.
The unmixed disc may focus entirely on solo material, but Carr's selections lean heavily towards the remixes that he commissioned for the label, with Prins Thomas, Brennan Green, Château Flight, Joakim, Serge Santiago and Sankt Göran all having their reworks featured.
