Matt John will play an eight-hour set at a secret East London location this weekend.
Derren Smart and Rob Star's A Night With... series kicked off successfully last month with a sold out appearance from Kompakt co-founder Michael Mayer, and they're set to return this Saturday with a much more minimal take on German electronic music. Over the last decade, Matt John has racked up 12-inch singles on respected German imprints such as Perlon and BAR25, even scoring a collaboration with Ricardo Villalobos on 2006's "Hawaii You." The quirky minimal house man doesn't really perform regularly in the capital, so those who fancy partying to the sound of Berlin until the early hours should do their best to snap up one of the 350 tickets available for the intimate performance. John will be utilising three turntables on top of additional live equipment to sculpt the sound throughout the night, which promises to be a special one for those who prefer to minimise to maximise their dance floor enjoyment.
