Speedy J, Chris Liebing, Ricardo Villalobos and Adam Beyer are among the names heading to Amsterdam's Gashouder this weekend
Awakenings first partied in Amsterdam's enormous Gashouder venue back in 1997, and the circular space has staged events by the crew almost every year since. This weekend's shenanigans will be the second such Awakenings party this year, following on from Easter's three-day spectacular which featured sets from Regis, Dave Clarke, Chris Liebing and Robert Hood among many others.
The festivities swing into action on Friday night with an opening set from Dutch producer Koen Groeneveld, who will be followed by (in order of appearance) Steve Lawler, Christian Smith, Speedy J, Brian Sanhaji and Chris Liebing. Moving on to Saturday, Trouw's 360 Soundsystem (Nuno dos Santos & Patrice Baumel) will provide the warm-up before handing over the controls to Ricardo Villalobos & Raresh who will play back-to-back from 00.30 until 04.00. Drumcode's Alan Fitzpatrick will then play live, followed by imprint boss and longtime Awakenings favourite Adam Beyer who will bring the weekend to a rousing, techno-fulled finale.
