  • secretsundaze have broken cover to announce details of their 2010 closing party, taking place this Sunday, October 24th at Stour Space. It's been something of a watershed year for London party pushers secretsundaze. The crew announced back in April their intention to reconnect with their roots by withholding key details regarding their parties. The names of headline acts, specifics on venue and pre-sale tickets were all scrapped, although they did go public with their August Bank Holiday plans. The same is true of their 2010 finale, which has apparently been delayed (the party is traditionally staged around late September) so as to find exactly the right venue. The fruits of their labour? Hackney Wick's Stour Space. "The venue really is fab with natural daylight flooding the space. It really has some great character and features," says secretsundaze founder James Priestley. "It's essentially a very warm warehouse space with concrete floor, exposed brickworks, skylights, beams and seated mezzanine/chill area." Talent-wise, the party will be headlined by Kenny Larkin. The Detroit second-waver has established relationships with key imprints down the years—Planet E, Warp, Peacefrog and Rush Hour—and most recently surfaced to remix Nina Kraviz's "I Don't Need a Cure for This" on Rekids. He'll be joined on the afternoon by New York's Fred P, who has just revealed details of his latest album, The Incredible Adventures of Captain P, which will see release through his own Soul People Music in December. Rounding out the bill is of course James Priestley and Giles Smith.
