  • Groove will return to Robert Johnson on Saturday, December 11th. You know a party is a big deal when Robert Johnson opens both its floors. Groove magazine will be taking over the Offenbach venue come December 11th and have put together a heavy hitting mixture of RJ regulars and international favourites for the occasion. BPitch's Ellen Allien and French tricksters dOP are receiving top billing—the latter will be taking to the stage for their lauded live show. Innervisions Ame (there's no indication as to whether it will be Kristian, Frank or both), Russian selector Nina Kraviz and David Moufang, AKA Move D, will all be present and pushing their own interpretations of contemporary house music. And house will likely remain a dominant theme among the RJ residents: Oliver Hafenbauer, Gerd Janson and Roman Flugel will be in attendance as well. The rest of the month, meanwhile, will see Beats in Space man Tim Sweeney take to the RJ controls on the 19th; Ata and Ivan Smagghe do the Christmas shift on the 24th; and Ricardo Villalobos play the Hotel Scandal's party on the 26th. Details of their NYE event are scant but be safe in the knowledge that the Robert Johnson Allstars will be supplying the sounds.
