  • The 2011 International Music Summit will take place at the Ibiza Gran Hotel from May 25th-27th. Now in its fourth year, IMS gathers together 500 delegates from the electronic music industry for a few days of networking, panel discussions and the like, plus a party or two as well. This year's conference features keynote speakers like Daniel Miller, founder of Mute Records, who will be interviewed by minimal icon Richie Hawtin. The Minus boss will also head his own discussion on how to make dance music greener, in association with the environmental group Julie's Bicycle. Other speakers confirmed so far include Sasha, Paul Kalkbrenner, Jamie Jones and Nervo, plus a smattering of booking agents, label managers, festival promoters and the like. Topics up for discussion range from "Dubstep Breaks America" to "Changing of the Guard: The New Techno Glitterati" The whole thing kicks off with a party at Pacha, though details for that one have yet to be announced.
