  • Simon Caldwell will stretch out with an extended warehouse set for Picnic later this month. Caldwell has been a fixture on the Sydney electronic circuit since the late '90s, having held down long term residencies at the city's Home and Chinese Laundry clubs in their early years. Since then, he's gone on to cement his name as one of Australia's foremost house selectors, becoming one of the few Sydney-based DJs to be booked for regular interstate slots. Despite his high profile, true extended sets from Caldwell have become a rarity, so his upcoming appearance at Picnic will give clubbers in his hometown a rare chance to see the onetime RA podcaster in full flight, and will likely see a hefty cross-section of music offered up over the six hours scheduled, ranging from upfront techno and house, right through to more down tempo soul and funk-oriented sounds. It's all set to take place on July 30th at a to-be-announced warehouse location. Tickets to the gig are available from RA Tickets.
