- The UK rapper's new full-length features an alternate version of Toddla T's "Watch Me Dance."
Roots Manuva will release a new album this September called 4everevolution.
The record will be Rodney Smith's first proper artist album since 2008's Slime & Reason, and comes almost exactly a year after his 2010 remix collection Duppy Writer. Guest appearances come from some of the Banana Klan's usual suspects—DJ MK, Daddy Kope, Ricky Ranking—plus a young up-and-coming vocalist named Rokhsan. In addition to 17 previously unreleased songs, the album features a new version of "Watch Me Dance," a tune that Smith originally produced with Ranking, but that became the title track on Toddla T's new album after Smith gave him the parts to remix last year. Like all of Roots Manuva's albums, the record will come out on Big Dada Recordings, a sublabel of Ninja Tune.
