  • Forward Strategy Group will make their first-ever US appearance on Friday, October 21st at Open House (formerly known as Stay) in New York. A shadowy collective, the Forward Strategy Group "corporate family" is composed primarily of Patrick Walker and Smear. Their sound is an abstract blend of industrial techno and dubby ambience; since they first started putting out their own records a few years ago, they've been tipped by techno stalwarts like Surgeon and Marcel Dettmann, and have released on Perc Trax, Stroboscopic Artefacts and other techno imprints. The duo has also won praise for their hard-hitting live performances, which they recently brought to Berlin for the popular Grounded Theory party. For this New York event, hosted by Erratic, they should have plenty of time to experiment with a four-hour live and DJ set. It will be Forward Strategy Group's only stateside appearance for now.
