- The Glasgow pair will come together with Subculture and Melting Pot for the annual boat party tomorrow evening.
The 2011 Waverley Boat Party will take place tomorrow evening, setting sail from the Glasgow Science Centre dock at 20:00.
The Waverley is the world's last remaining seagoing passenger carrying paddle steamer, although if you live in Glasgow you probably don't need us to tell you that. The Clyde-bound fun begins tomorrow evening at 8:00 PM, as the boat sets sail for a whirlwind three-hour excursion from Glasgow Science Centre dock. All three promoters—Optimo, Subculture and Melting Pot—will be represented by their key players for the event. JG Wilkes and JD Twitch of Optimo will likely entertain for the party's finale via their famously diverse record collection; another local institution in the form of Subculture's Harri & Domenic will also be present, in addition to Melting Pot's Andrew Pirie and Simon Coridner.
