DJ Pete will also play the Edinburgh party's anniversary next month.
Since its humble beginnings in 2007, Substance has become one of Edinburgh's most consistent sources for underground sounds, with a programming style that highlights left-field acts such as Luke Vibert alongside purist techno favourites like Surgeon and Speedy J. Their fifth birthday will have a bit of both, with Nathan Fake playing live and DJ Pete on the ones and twos. The former is one of Border Community's flagship artists, and allegedly has a new LP due out on the label in 2012. The latter is one of Berlin's most seasoned selectors: a clerk at Hard Wax, a resident DJ at Berghain and a producer under the name (fittingly enough) Substance.
Tickets to the party are available here on RA.
