The UK duo's third full-length is set for release in January.
X-Press 2, one of the UK's longest-serving house outfits, have been active on the scene since the early '90s. Then a trio comprised of Rocky, Diesel and Ashley Beedle (Beedle has since left the group), X-Press 2 released a string of singles—Muzik Xpress being the most notable example—through the London-based Junior Boy's Own imprint. After a four-year hiatus the trio then proffered a run of huge single releases during the early '00s which culminated in 2002's Muzikizum. Its follow-up, Makeshift Feelgood, came out in 2006.
This latest offering, The House of X-Press 2, is lined up for release through Skint in January 2012, and features a raft of guest vocalists and producers. Fellow house music veteran Roland Clark lends vocals on two of the album's 13 tracks, while Timo Garcia, Tim Deluxe and Analog People In A Digital World are among those sharing production duties. Style-wise The House of X-Press 2 appears to be very much in the vein of their previous full-lengths in its focus on the dance floor, or as the press release puts it "straight up no frills epic bangers."
