ATP announces lineup for Nightmare Before Christmas 2011

- All Tomorrow's Parties have announced the lineup for this year's Nightmare Before Christmas festival, taking place from December 9th through the 11th at Minehead Butlins Resort. As with all of ATP's events, artists have curated the three-day festival. Art-rock outfit Les Savy Fav have filled the first day with indie acts like No Age, Oxes and Surfer Blood, plus electro-cum-techno duo Simian Mobile Disco. The festival gets progressively more electronic from there, with Battles curating day two. Their bill includes Flying Lotus, The Field, Matias Aguayo, Walls and two acts that are as influential as they are different from each other: Gary Numan and Underground Resistance. The third day of the festival is programmed by Caribou, and features Junior Boys, Four Tet, Theo Parrish and Roll The Dice alongside post-punk group The Ex and psychedelic jazz gods The Sun Ra Arkestra. The curators will play on their respective days as well. All in all, 45 bands will play on three different stages. Tickets to the festival include lodging in apartments at the resort.
