  • Black Dice will release a new album in April called Mr. Impossible. Originally from Providence, Rhode Island, Black Dice are one of the most popular exports of Brooklyn's noisy art-rock scene. That said, the trio's compositions have long been primarily electronic, maintaining a punk ethos while working mostly with synths and drum machines. Mr. Impossible looks set to continue this trend, at least if the Big Black-inspired single "Pigs" is anything to go by (you can download that one for free right here). The album will come out on Ribbon Music, a sub-label of Domino that also released John Maus's We Must Become Pitiless Censors Of Ourselves. A special version with a screen-printed cover will be available in a limited run of 350 copies. Tracklist 01. Pinball Wizard 02. Rodriguez 03. The Jacker 04. Pigs 05. Spy Vs. Spy 06. Out Body Drifter 07. Shithouse Drifter 08. Carnitas 09. Brunswick Sludge Ribbon Music will release Mr. Impossible on April 9th, 2012.
