  • Birmingham techno party House Of God will celebrate its 19th birthday on Saturday 25th February. The party will mark the first time that HOG has been staged at Subway City (the club described in the press text as its spiritual home) for eight years. The Snow Hill venue was HOG's permanent base for their monthly outings between 1996 and 2004. To mark their 19th birthday, Surgeon has invited his British Murder Boys partner Karl O'Connor, AKA Regis, to headline with a live performance. The two will be joined in the techno-focussed main room by HOG regulars Sir Real, Paul Damage, Nicky B and Terry Donovan. Room two—the preserve of "drum & bass/jungle/breaks/electro"—will feature PCM, DJ-X, Richie Swift, Sherwen, Madjack and Harvey Lane. Veteran UK act 2 Bad Mice head up the old school and acid house action in room three, while room four's "wonky disco and devastated soul" will be played by Dedbeat among others. The event will apparently be costed at the same price as the very first HOG party at Subway City: £9.
