  • Perlon will stage a London showcase event with Lo*kee next month. Anyone who's been following the German house and techno scene in the last decade or so will know the far-reaching impact Perlon has made. Started by Thomas Franzmann (AKA Zip) and Markus Nikolai back in 1997, Perlon came to be known as one of the leading imprints of the minimal/micro house scene that steadily grew in popularity throughout the early stages of the '00s. Although releasing music from a large cross-section of mainly European-based producers, the last few years have seen more of a refinement on their roster, with names such as Portable, Ricardo Villalobos, Thomas Melchior and Cassy becoming mainstays. The same is true of the artists traveling to London's 7-9 Crucifix Lane on Saturday 10th March. Topping the bill is UK-born, Berlin-based veteran A Guy Called Gerald, who will be performing "live in session." Sammy Dee, who has been recording with the imprint since near the beginning and is resident at Perlon's monthly Panorama Bar sessions, will also be in attendance, joined by a newer addition to group, Dutch DJ/producer San Proper. Lo*kee, meanwhile, will be represented by Sebastian Voigt and Nisekay. Tickets for Lo*kee Loves Perlon are available to purchase here on RA.
