  • Amon Tobin has added a Melbourne "ISAM" show to his Australian visit this coming June. Having been releasing music under his own name on London label Ninja Tune since '96, Tobin has amassed a vast catalogue which extends to film, TV and video game soundtracks. Noted for his innovative approach to music production, the Brazilian-born artist's "ISAM" album and audio-visual live show is arguably his most groundbreaking creation to date. The show incorporates a 7.5 metre, 3 tonne cubic construction onto which projections are manipulated by the artist as he stands in the centre, performing music from the LP. The visual spectacle was praised by RA's Daniel Petry for its "next-level complexity", and has been taken on tour around the world for nearly a year now. Having already been announced as part of Sydney's Vivid LIVE 2012 program, Tobin and his "ISAM" show have also been booked for a night in Melbourne. Niche Productions will be hosting the presentation at the Palace Theatre on June 5th, which will kick off at 8:00 PM.
