  • Rajko Mueller, AKA Isolee, is booked to play two Australian shows over the first weekend of June. Since releasing "Beau Mot Plage" in 1998, Mueller has consistently been a highly respected figure in the electronic music scene. His string of releases on German label Playhouse, along with a number of departures on imprints like Mule Electronic, Diynamic and Dial, go beyond the expected confines of the house music genre, incorporating intricate melodies and a particular focus on texture. Well Spent Youth, his latest album, dropped last year on DJ Koze's Pampa Records and was described by RA's Derek Miller as being "somewhere between Chicago house, minimal techno, ambient, indie electronica and updated krautrock." Having not spent a great deal of time performing outside of Europe, this will be Mueller's second trip to Australia in his career spanning nearly two decades. His first show will be hosted by Sydney label Future Classic as part of the city's Vivid Live festival on June 1st. Mueller will be playing alongside Jacques Renault and Flume at the Sydney Opera House, where doors will open at 9:30 PM. The following evening, Smalltown will be presenting the Melbourne gig at The Liberty Social. Tickets to the Melbourne night can be purchased here on RA.
