  • Dummy reports that Julio Bashmore will launch a new label, Broadwalk Records, with a 12-inch release in early July. Since making his debut with a single on Dirtybird in 2009, Bashmore has become one of the UK's most lauded young acts. With a penchant for bass-heavy big room house, the Bristol native has since put far-reaching music to wax for a number of labels, most notably Ten Thousand Yen, 3024 and Futureboogie Recordings. Broadwalk Records will be the latest in a long list of imprints founded by bass-inclined producers from the Bristol area. Its maiden release sees Bashmore toy with the same melodic bass and skippy percussion he's employed across much of his output so far. You can hear one of the tracks at Bashmore's Soundcloud page. Broadwalk Records will release Au Serve on July 2nd, 2012.
