Hum + Buzz throw Ikonika record launch

- The London-based label will host a release party at London's Rhythm Factory this June.
- Ikonika will headline a record label release party for her new EP on June 15. After releasing several EPs and an album on Hyperdub between 2008 and 2010, Ikonika launched her own imprint Hum + Buzz with her partner, Optimum. Since the label's first EP—a split between the two co-founders—Hum + Buzz has solo material from Optimum and an EP from Australian Breaking Through artist Dro Carey. The label will return in 2012 for a new record from Ikonika called I Make Lists, which will be celebrated with a party co-produced by LDN DC at Rhythm Factory in London on June 15th. Aside from Ikonika and Optimum, the lineup features jazz and boogie aficionado Mr Beatnick, Alex D££mnds, Andrew Weatherall associate Timothy J. Fairplay, and the LDN DC residents.
