Mr. G will release a new album called State of Flux this July.

The UK producer has been on the scene for 20 some odd years, DJing and releasing dozens of house and techno records on his own and in a number of collaborations (most notably The Advent), but it wasn't until after he hooked up with Rekids a few years ago that he started putting together his first solo album, Still Here. At the time he said that one was made during a dark time in his life, due partly to the shift in the music industry brought on by digital. State of Flux has a touch of sorrow to it as well: "This album means a lot to me as it came from the pain of losing my spar Lev Van Delden JNR," McBean explains. "It's me looking at every thing through different grown up eyes and really going deep into the groove."
