  • Farmfestival Somerset will take place in Bruton from July 27th-29th. Now in its seventh year, the southwest weekender will be headlined by Applepips boss Appleblim for its 2012 edition. It will happen at Gilcombe Farm, about 1.5 miles from Bruton, the nearest town. Music will be spread across four live stages along with tents for dance music. In addition to Appleblim, the DJ lineup includes Hot Creations signees PBR Streetgang, former Haçienda resident Graeme Park, and Futureboogie's Lukas, among many other names. Meanwhile, in terms of live music, the festival will feature UK rock band The Boy Least Likely To, as well as seven-piece Leeds band Submotion Orchestra, who perform a live take on bass music. Farmfestival was initially founded as a friends-and-family-only affair, and over the years and through growing popularity, it has retained its homemade and homegrown aesthetic, refusing any sponsors and donating all profits to charities. Organic and locally sourced food will be available on the festival grounds, and advance tickets are available here on RA.
