Thugfucker, Art Department, Boys Noize and more to play Wavefront afterparties

- The New Chicago festival will be followed by a series of late-night events around the city.
- A series of official afterparties for the new Wavefront Festival will take place this weekend in Chicago. The parties will feature many of the same house, techno and electro artists as the festival, albeit in a much more intimate setting. Spy Bar will start the weekend with a pre-party on Friday featuring Life & Death duo Thugfucker. On Saturday night, Smart Bar will host Crosstown Rebels duo Art Department along with Lee Curtiss, Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves, who will play together as Visionquest. Meanwhile, Germany's Boys Noize will headline a night back at Spy Bar, which will also host European DJs Steve Lawler and Gregor Tresher on Sunday, while A-Trak brings his wide-ranging electro to a new River North club, Cuvee.
