  • Girl Unit will embark on a short Canadian tour in late July. London's Phillip Gamble made an auspicious entrance into the UK bass scene with his "Wut" in 2010, establishing a sound that mixed southern hip-hop, grime and trance influences and becoming a cornerstone of London's Night Slugs crew and label in the process. Since then he's released two more well-received EPs on the imprint, and toured extensively internationally. He'll hit Canada in late July for a short four-date jaunt (following his label boss Bok Bok's North American tour in May). The tour will begin at Montreal's Le Belmont on July 19th for a B00TY B4K3RY party featuring support from local DJ Rilly Guilty as well as the night's resident DJs. The following evening he'll hit Toronto's Black Box for a party with Newark artist and Fade to Mind signee DJ Sliink, supported by locals Tom Wrecks and De Miggs. The next day Gamble will head to the West Coast for a show at the Waldorf Hotel in Vancouver, where local duo Expendable Youth and hip-hop DJ Cherchez La Femme are also billed, before the tour ends in the BC capital of Victoria at Club 9one9, where Error Broadcast signee Monolithium and Juice will round out the bill.
