  • Louis Burns, AKA Lil' Louis, will no longer be appearing in Australia this weekend. The Chicago house legend encountered a string of horrendous luck ahead of his first ever appearance in the country. After an initially delayed flight due to an electrical storm, a stopover was accompanied by the nightmarish news that Burns' luggage and records had been lost by the airline. With no success in locating the missing cargo thus far, he will be unable to make it to Australia in time for the first two shows which were planned for this weekend, although it is uncertain at this stage if the Adelaide gig on Sunday will be effected. Promoters will look at rescheduling the tour once the situation has been resolved. Melbourne's New Guernica will instead be manned on Friday night by locals Andee Frost and Otologic all night, while Boom Boom in Sydney has called upon a host of the city's top house DJs to fill in for Burns on July 21st. The lineup includes Simon Caldwell and Ken Cloud of Mad Racket, Kali from Picnic, the Paradise Lost crew and Co-Op, and the gig will still be held at the yet-to-be-disclosed inner city penthouse location, with tickets selling for a reduced price here on RA. Refunds will also be on offer to those who purchased tickets to the Melbourne and Sydney shows.
