  • Hernan Cattaneo will make his way from Argentina to Australia this September to play three gigs. Cattaneo is undoubtedly one of his country's most popular electronic music exports, particularly through his half dozen mix CDs on UK progressive house institution Renaissance. Although he's produced several records throughout his career, including three 12-inches on Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto imprint, his prime talent is as a DJ whose relentless touring schedule has seen him perform in no less than 50 countries. Cattaneo's upcoming Australian tour—his eighth in 10 years—will begin in Melbourne on September 21st, where he'll be joined by Suol deep house producer Fritz Kalkbrenner to play the Strawberry Fields 2012 launch party at Brown Alley. The following day he heads to Sydney for a three hour set at a Chinese Laundry-hosted pool party at The Ivy, again with Kalkbrenner on the bill, which runs from 12:00 PM until 7:30 PM. His final set will be in Brisbane on the 23rd, hosted by Ulterior and Auditree at The Met with locals Cosmo Cater and Rich Curtis in support.
