  • Police in Pula, Croatia have confirmed that one reveler died at Dimensions Festival over the weekend. Rumors about the incident started spreading on Sunday when the beach at the festival was closed for the first part of the day. Though details are very scarce, the prevailing story was that someone had drowned sometime late on Saturday night or early Sunday morning and was later found near the beach. Sunday's beach party was postponed as a result, causing performances by John Talabot and others to be cancelled, though the event went on as planned that afternoon and evening. Reached this afternoon by phone, the marine police department in Pula confirmed that someone had drowned at the festival, but declined to give any further information. A report later appeared on their site describing the victim was a 28-year-old Irish citizen. Dimensions' organizers released this statement to Resident Advisor earlier today: "Over the weekend there was a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased. We are cooperating fully with the authorities but cannot say anything more at this point."
