Ryan Hemsworth and Dro Carey will play at the Sydney party this weekend.
In the space of 12 months, Astral People has become one of Sydney's busiest and most respected new outfits. Conceived as a management and touring company, their roster toes the line between indie, electronic and experimental music, and includes some of the city's brightest young artists like Stones Throw signee Jonti, IDM trio Bon Chat, Bon Rat and the aforementioned Dro Carey. After a marked increase in the frequency of their events, Astral People have an extremely busy few months ahead which includes shows with Rick Wade and Kyle Hall, Prefuse 73 and Synkro, and their own one-day festival this November with Africa Hitech and HTRK.
Their birthday party will also include a number of their own artists, with Polographia, Albatross and Wordlife all among the acts billed. The doors of Goodgod Small Club open at 9:00 PM this Saturday.
