  • Carl Cox has signed on to play a gig to benefit the learning disability awareness group Mencap, scheduled for October 4th at Electric Brixton. The veteran techno jock and Ibiza stalwart will be lending his name to a very good cause: Mencap, as their website states, "works with people with a learning disability to change laws, challenge prejudice and support them to live their lives as they choose." He joins the likes of U2 guitarist The Edge and BBC Radio 1's Jo Whiley in having worked to spread word of the organization. All proceeds from the party, which also features DJs Jon Rundell and Charlie Hedges, will benefit Mencap. Tickets to the event are available here on RA.
