The Dutch techno veteran will play Footwork's Halloween party in October.
Back in 2010, local promoter Platform held a "Halloween Massacre" at Footwork with the Dutch DJ, a role he'll reprise for 2012. Landing on the Saturday before Halloween proper, the night will see Jochem Paap play an extended set at the intimate afterhours venue. Paap has been active as Speedy J for over two decades, with early and influential releases on labels like Plus 8 and NovaMute, and has a particularly long history of playing in Toronto. In 2008, he founded his own label Electric Deluxe, which focuses on hard-hitting but streamlined techno from the likes of Terence Fixmer and Brendon Moeller. He'll be supported by local DJ Arthur Oskan.
