  • Slow Blow are gearing up for their third birthday with Matias Aguayo later this month. The Sydney duo's monthly party has been a house and disco staple at Goodgod Small Club since it began in late 2009. Usually opting for a recurring cast of local DJs, including original residents Softwar, the upcoming party will be Slow Blow's first time hosting an international headliner. Aguayo, who co-founded the Cómeme imprint, has also been a regular on Michael Mayer's Kompakt label since the two collaborated under the name Zimt back in 1998. The eccentric Chilean producer is a key force behind the spontaneous BumBumBox street parties that have popped up around South America and Europe, involving nothing more than an mp3 player and some boomboxes. The birthday celebrations are happening on November 23rd at Slow Blow's home, Goodgod Small Club, with Softwar completing the lineup. Aguayo will also be in Australia to perform at the closing party of Melbourne Music Week's Where?House on Sunday the 25th. Tickets to the Sydney gig are available here on RA.
