  • Marc Kinchen will headline a Lights Down Low party in Los Angeles on November 24th. With a loose emphasis on bass music, Lights Down Low is one of San Francisco's more diverse parties. Guests over its five years have ranged from traditional house and techno to more experimental acts, with recent headliners including Hype Williams, Pearson Sound and Green Velvet. For Thanksgiving weekend the busy promoters will travel south to LA to throw a party at a TBA location. Topping the bill is are two vintage garage house heads: Kinchen, famous for his MK Dub remixes in the 1990s, will play alongside Todd Edwards, whose ecstatic and vocal-heavy sound proved enormously influential on the movement in the UK. Those two will be supported by a rare reunion for LA's Acid Girls, as well as local artist Thee Mike B. Rounding out the lineup are Lights Down Low residents Sleazemore, Jeniluv and Richie Panic, with more guests promised. Tickets for the party are available on RA.
